Blog post #1

Time to begin the journey of your dreams!

1) Start a blog. Go to www.blogger.com and sign in using your school account. You can create a Google+ profile or "rajoitettu Blogger-profiili".

2) Find an English-speaking country you want to go to, a city within this country and a school within the city. Do online research on your exchange destination.

3) Create your first blog post! Reveal your exchange destination. Write about why you chose this country, this city and this school. You can also provide links to the school's/city's website or other related sites. Also write about your hopes concerning the year ahead of you.

  • Write about 100 to 150 words.
  • In addition to the above word count, include a to-do list for your last week before you leave. You can use this as a checklist - maybe you still need to take care of acquiring a couple of these items?.
  • You can include pictures of the school or the city.
  • If you want to, you can divide this post into two or more individual posts, as long as I can tell it's still the preparing stage of your journey.
  • Post the link to your blog in the comment box of this post by the end of the lesson! If you can't finish today, finish it at home and post the link here before tomorrow's lesson.

Welcome!

This course will deal with work and study-related questions. During the course, you'll be writing a blog about your imagined exchange year - maybe this will spark an interest and you'll one day actually go on one!

This blog will serve as platform for the blog assignments and other online tasks you'll complete during the course. Remember to also keep track of Wilma, where you'll find relevant information about class contents and through which we'll mainly communicate, along with Fronter, where you'll find some quizzes and hand in assignments.

Hope you'll enjoy this course!
